About The Photographer After wandering through photo forums and seeing other people's reactions to critiques, I've noticed that many photographers tend to see things from their own viewpoint while discounting others. Some stick to "rules" and classic photographic traditions. Regardless of what anyone else thinks, the best judge of a photograph is you and how it meets your own vision...however subjective that might be. |
Subjective Vision is a personal photography gallery for me, Brian Austin, an amateur photographer in Phoenix, AZ, USA. I enjoy all genres of photography, ranging from macro work in the backyard to exotic travel destinations. Recently, I've wandered into studio photography, where I'm enjoying the change from "looking" for the right image to "creating" the right image.
The obvious answer is that it's all in the eyes of the beholder. The reality is that each of us sees things in a different way. Some focus on colors, others on composition, still others on subject matter. My own images may make me think of one thing while you see something completely different.
